Bismarck, ND – Governor Doug Burgum has appointed three new directors to the North Dakota Beef Commission. Austin Henderson, Lane Marshall and Carmel Miller have all been welcomed onto the board for the 2024-2025 fi scal year.Â
Henderson is a fourth generation livestock market owner and cattle feeder out of Dickinson, ND and will represent the livestock market sector on the board. Marshall is a second generation cattle producer out of Towner, ND and will fi ll the at-large position on the board. Miller runs a commercial calf-cow operation in Grant and Bowman counties in North Dakota, and has been appointed to the cattle producer position on the board. The NDBC directors serve three-year terms and are eligible to be appointed to two consecutive terms on the board.Â
The NDBC, representing North Dakota beef farmers and ranchers, manages the state and national Beef Checko programs with the mission of enhancing beef demand by strengthening consumer trust and exceeding consumer expectations. This is accomplished through programs and activities in the areas of beef promotion, research and consumer information.Â
